The seven-day visit of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to Japan reaped rich results for Telangana, with the expected investments likely to be around ₹12,062 crore.
The ‘TelanganaRising’ delegation led by the Chief Minister returned on Wednesday night. They were received by the Congress party leaders and the cadre.
A statement from the Chief Ministers Office said that the Telangana delegation successfully impressed upon the Japanese firms to invest in Telangana that is industrial-friendly. The delegation signed several investment agreements with top companies and and firms known worldwide.
With the recent trip to Japan, the government had so far secured ₹2.44 lakh crore in investment including its earlier visits to Davos in Switzerland where it secured a record ₹1.79 lakh crore investments. Later, the delegation also visited Singapore and South Korea, and including the Japanese investments the total investments would generate 80,500 employment opportunities.
The delegation to Japan visited Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Osaka, and Hiroshima from April 16 to 22. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and a team of officials were part of the Chief Minister’s delegation. For the first time, a Telangana pavilion was opened at the Osaka World Expo during the tour.
