Andhra Pradesh Roads, Buildings, and Infrastructure Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has directed officials to quickly complete land and forest-related issues for the Infrastructure projects in the State.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy chaired the second Task Force Committee meeting on Friday at the Secretariat to review the status of National Highway and railway projects across Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting focused on addressing pending issues such as land acquisition and forest clearance to ensure timely completion of the projects.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy directed officials to resolve all pending issues related to the National Highways in three months and complete the projects by December 2026. He emphasised the need for a clear action plan and weekly review meetings at the Secretary level. Of the 579-km required land for the National Highways, 237-km land had already been acquired.
The Minister also reviewed connectivity plans for the State’s greenfield ports —Ramayapatnam, Machilipatnam, and Mulapeta — urging swift integration with the National Highways and railway lines. He instructed the railway authorities to begin works on the port railway sidings and fast-track engineering approvals.
During a separate review of the railway projects, he stressed the need for completing all sanctioned projects, including Amaravati-Errubalem, Nadikudi–Srikalahasti and Kotipalli–Narsapur lines, by the end of 2026.
