The Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), a Government of India enterprise, at the NSIC campus in Hyderabad on Friday.

N.K. Subramani, General Manager and Centre Head, NSIC, Hyderabad, Muthukumaran, Manager, NSIC, and Prof. G. Raghotham Reddy, Professor Incharge of Internships and MoUs were present at the event, said KITSW Principal K. Ashoka Reddy.

According to Mr. Subramani of NSIC, the primary aim of the collaboration is to promote student internships, short-term training programmes, faculty development initiatives and industrial training. The partnership also seeks to strengthen innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship development and skill-building among students to enhance employability with higher compensation packages.

Prof. G. Raghotham Reddy, Professor Incharge of Internships and MoUs at KITSW, expressed gratitude to the NSIC leadership for the initiative. He noted that the MoU would facilitate a range of academic and professional activities, including student workshops, conferences, seminars, guest lectures and training programmes. It would also benefit research scholars and students in designing live industrial projects, he added.
