
In dia Meteorological Department issued thunderstorm alert to 20 districts of Telangana for Saturday (May 3, 2025)

Fluctuating weather conditions might continue in some parts of Telangana as a yellow alert was issued to 20 districts for Saturday (May 3, 2025). The sky over Hyderabad would be partly covered with clouds.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) cautioned of thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds at isolated places in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad; Mancherial; Karimnagar; Peddapalli; Jayashankar Bhupalapally; Mulugu; Bhadradri Kothagudem; Khammam; Nalgonda; Suryapet; Mahabubabad; Warangal; Hanumakonda; Jangaon; Siddipet; Yadadri Bhuvangiri; Rangareddy; Hyderabad; Medchal Malkajigiri and Nagarkurnool.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds were forecast as very likely to occur in the city over the next 24 hours, according to IMD’s press release issued on Friday (March 2, 2025) afternoon.
Highest temperatures drop
The highest temperatures in the State which were over 45°C last week, marginally dropped. On Thursday (May 1, 2025), the highest temperature of 44.7°C was recorded in Bela of Adilabad, followed by 44.1°C in Banswada of Kamareddy and Mosra of Nizamabad. Except Warangal, the maximum temperatures in all districts were 40°C or over.
The maximum temperature in Medchal Malkajgiri was 41.8°C in Uppal, 41.1°C was recorded in Moinabad of Rangaredy and 40.6°C in Amberpet of Hyderabad.
