Man found dead after alleged acid attack on woman in Kasaragod

A 34-year-old man was found dead hours after an alleged an acid attack on a woman at Chittarikkal in Kasaragod on Wednesday.

Ratheesh of Kamballur allegedly attacked Sindhu Mol, 34, a fancy shop owner, with acid while she was inside her shop.

Sindhu, who sustained severe burns, is undergoing treatment at the Kannur Government Medical College Hospital. The hospital authorities said she was out of danger.

Following the alleged assault, Ratheesh reportedly fled the scene and was later found hanging. According to the police, Ratheesh and Sindhu were neighbours.
