The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for 17 Telangana districts on Monday. In its latest weather bulletin, the IMD said thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places across the State.

The affected districts include Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.

For Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are very likely in the city. The maximum and minimum temperature are expected to be around 36°C and 25°C, respectively.
