Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath has said that flight services between Kurnool and Vijayawada will commence from July 2.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Mr. Bharath said Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu had informed that the flight services between the two cities would be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays initially. The services would run on daily basis from a later date.

Welcoming the decision, Mr. Bharath said the flight services flight between the two cities would augur well for the development of industries at Orvakal industrial hub.

Mr. Bharath said he had met Mr. Rammohan Naidu and sought flight services between Kurnool and Vijayawada. “I thank Mr. Rammohan Naidu for responding positively,” Mr. Bharath said.
