A thief, Rayudu Durga Rao, who is wanted in several cases, reportedly jumped from the second floor of a building and suffered injuries, here on Sunday. In a bid to escape from the police, Durga Rao, suffered multiple injuries. He was admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH), the police said.

A native of Mandapeta in Konaseema district, Durga Rao is wanted in about eight theft cases reported in Mandapeta, Ravulapalem, Rayavaram and Ramachandrapuram police station limits. Recently, he committed theft in a shop at Vambay Colony, under Nunna police station limits in NTR Commissionerate.
