Recalling his steps to protect the State’s rights, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that his journey has been long. “As I am about to step into the fifth year as the CM, let me say that my journey will continue. My journey for Tamil Nadu, Tamils and the State’s rights will continue.”

The CM said in the Assembly: “Those who are attempting to mortgage and encroach the State, would never be able to win over Tamil Nadu.” Quoting former CM C.N. Annadurai, Mr. Stalin said State autonomy was a “birthright,” and none could take that away.

Contending that the DMK government was “thousand times better” than the 10-year rule of the erstwhile AIADMK regime, Mr. Stalin said his government has made achievements on various fronts.

He said he was being careful in not making mistakes anywhere and that he needed to be truthful to the people, who have voted. Listing out steps being taken by the police force, Mr. Stalin said it was controlling the cybercrime.

“Because of maintenance of law and order, Tamil Nadu remains peaceful and there has not been major caste-related disputes, communal riots or other violence. Even if some attempted to instigate riots, the people of Tamil Nadu would crush them down.”
