Special Chief Secretary (Health) M.T. Krishna Babu said that the State government is committed to providing a comprehensive healthcare for all, during a visit to the Kuppam Assembly Constituency on Monday as part of the Tata Trust’s ongoing digital health survey.
Mr. Babu conducted surprise inspection at the Government Area Hospital in Kuppam, and the Government Hospital at Kanamalapalle village. He was accompanied by Health and Family Welfare Commissioner G. Veerapandian, Chittoor Collector Sumit Kumar, and Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) Project Director Vikas Marmat.
After a review meeting, the Health Secretary interacted with the locals regarding the medical services provided under the State’s health mission. “The Tata Trust’s digital health survey in Kuppam will register the health profiles of the entire population. This would be effective in early prevention of various diseases,” he said.
Collector Sumit Kumar said, “The digitised information will help monitor the health status of over three lakh people. As part of the survey, a 25-member call center has been established to provide medical consultations”.
KADA Project Director highlighted the ongoing efforts to bolster Kuppam’s health infrastructure. “We are preparing a roadmap to make Kuppam, a model constituency in the country,” he said.
