CPI Andhra Pradesh State secretary K. Ramakrishna on Tuesday (May 6) expressed satisfaction over the conviction of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy by the Nampally CBI Court. In a statement, Mr. Ramakrishna said justice, though delayed, finally prevailed in the infamous Obulapuram illegal mining case that rocked the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh. The verdict proves that no one can escape punishment for corruption, he said and demanded that the government immediately recover the embezzled wealth and confiscate the properties of Gali Janardhan Reddy.
