A pulsating match that was marred by rain breaks in the second innings finally finished Gujarat Titans’ way as they beat the Mumbai Indians by three wickets off the very last ball of the match. GT’s 156-run target was reduced to 147 needed off 19 overs when a rain break forced players off after the 18th. GT hence needed 15 runs to win int he one over that could be bowled after resumption and they completed it with a single off the last ball of the match. (AFP)

Mohammed Siraj dismissed Ryan Rickelton off just the second ball of the match. Rohit Sharma then fell to Arshad Khan in the fourth over.(PTI)

The rains came in right after the powerplay ended, leading to a short break at which point GT were well behind the DLS par score. When it resumed though, Buttler upped the ante and put them ahead. However, the run rate dropped again and Buttler fell in the 12th over. (PTI)

Gujarat Titans seemed to be down and out when they lost Jos Buttler in the 12th over but then Sherfane Rutherford’s big hits in the next two suddenly put them ahead of the DLS par score. Rains came in again and forced the players off right after that. (ANI)

Bumrah then dismissed Shahrukh Khan and MI were suddenly ahead once again. Another blow came for GT in the very next over with Rashid Khan falling to Ashwani Kumar but then the players were forced to go off again due to another bout of rain.(Hindustan Times)
