i-TIC, IIT Hyderabad incubated battery technology and power electronics firm PURE has formed a partnership with Canada’s Charge Power Inc for its foray into the North American energy storage market with a suite of products in residential, commercial and grid scale applications.

Under the partnership, PURE’s energy storage products will be introduced in Canada and the U.S. through a co-branding arrangement. The focus will be on grid scale products in the U.S. market, and in Canada majorly on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and grid scale products, it stated in a press release on Friday (May 16, 2025)

Tapping into the two markets is a key component of its global expansion strategy. “By leveraging our respective strengths and capabilities, we are confident in making a significant impact in these markets in months to come,” PURE founder and MD Nishanth Dongari said.

Charge Power MD Ravi Pinnelli said PURE’s manufacturing capabilities complement his company’s proven expertise in engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract, system integration, and lifecycle management.

PURE said it will retain all intellectual property rights related to the energy storage products to protect its proprietary technologies as it expands.
