The district administration on Wednesday launched the curtain raiser for YogAndhra-2025 campaign as a first step towards achieving ‘YogAndhra Pradesh’. The event marks the first day of a month-long campaign launched by the government ahead of the upcoming International Yoga Day on June 21 to be celebrated at Visakhapatnam on a massive scale.

Tirupati MLA Arani Srinivasulu, Collector S. Venkateswar, Joint Collector Shubham Bansal, Superintendent of Police V. Harshavardhan Raju, SPMVV Vice-Chancellor V. Uma and others participated in the Yoga session.

Mr. Srinivasulu said that many people from across the globe have started embracing yoga to control the body and mind.

Mr. Venkateswar urged everyone to make yoga an integral part of life, with a dedicated time slot to ensure a balanced living. “There is still a greater need to create awareness among the public as the message on well-being through yoga has not percolated to the masses at the desired level,” he said.

SPMVV Registrar N. Rajani, District Revenue Officer M. Narasimhulu, Revenue Divisional Officer A. Ramamohan, State Yadava Welfare Corporation Chairman G. Narasimha Yadav, AP Greenery and Beautification Corporation Chairperson M. Sugunamma and Deputy Mayor R.C. Munikrishna took part in the event.
